Ballasted Roof

A ballasted roofing system typically contains rock or gravel on top of a flat or low slope roof.  The coarse gravel or rock used is laid to form a bed of protection and insulation on the roof top.

Studies have shown that a ballasted system with a weight of 15 psf or greater is a highly effective roofing system.

If you currently have a ballasted roofing system and are experiencing leaks, it may mean it is time for a new roofing system. Let the professionals at B&L assess your roof and provide options as to the best route to take to ensure you have an effective roofing solution.
